Simple process

How it works

We do the research and legwork. You remain in control and approve every change.

1

Tell us what you need

New phone plan, new home internet, or a lower current bill. Share your location, goals, and roughly what you pay (or want). During private onboarding we may ask for a bill or account screenshot.

2

We find and arrange the deal

We compare providers for your address, confirm the best available offer we can lock, and build the setup, switch, install, or port plan — with your authorization.

3

We handle setup with you

We coordinate activation, number port, and install timing. You step in for identity checks, one-time codes, credit consent, contract acceptance, and final approval. Then we verify the result.

What we arrange

New service or a better rate on what you have

Like a full-service telecom helper — not only “lower my existing bill.”

Lower my current bill

Already with a carrier or ISP? We review what you pay, work retention, and arrange a switch when a better confirmed deal wins.

  • Bill and account review
  • Retention and provider shopping
  • Switch / port follow-up

Transparent · no surprise public packages

Free rate check. Setup fee only if you proceed.

We quote a one-time setup fee up front before you commit — same idea as a full-service cellphone shop that arranges your plan and activation.

How pricing works
  • Free rate check — tell us what you need (new mobile, new internet, or lower your current bill).
  • If you take a plan we arrange, there is a one-time setup fee quoted before you approve.
  • No fee if you don’t proceed.
  • Success-focused — you only pay the setup fee when we lock a confirmed better rate or new activation.
  • Exact setup fee is quoted before you approve (not listed as a fixed package price on this site). Provider charges, device balances, and install fees from carriers/ISPs are separate.
Canada snapshot

Top provinces paying the most for telecom

Urban households in these provinces spent the most on communications services (landline, mobile, internet, and TV). Quebec was typically among the lowest. Rates and plans change — this is why a local rate check still matters.

Bar chart: Alberta $280, Newfoundland and Labrador $277, Saskatchewan $250 average monthly urban household communications spend in 2017

Canadian case patterns

What we’d handle

These are anonymized or illustrative patterns, not promises. Every account and address is different.

Calgary · TELUS family

About $287/month with roughly $1,410 left on two financed phones.

We’d handle: retention toward a lower per-line rate, protect existing financing, document the offer, and schedule a future switch review.

Barrie · light-use Virgin line

About $124/month, a $422 device balance and under 1 GB of use.

We’d handle: exact payoff confirmation, prepaid comparison, port timing, approval checkpoints and post-port verification.

Moncton · three-line account

About $230 recurring plus roughly $261 in arrears.

We’d handle: account stabilization first, per-line options, a staged multi-line move and follow-up after each approved step.

Ottawa · home internet

An expiring promotion, equipment charges and competing fibre or cable options.

We’d handle: address serviceability, retention, true post-promo cost, install timing, cancellation and equipment return coordination.
Questions

FAQ

What do I still have to do?

You must personally complete identity verification, provide account authorization or a PIN when required, enter one-time codes yourself, consent to any credit check, accept contracts, and give final approval for a port or activation. We prepare and manage everything around those checkpoints.

Will you pretend to be me or make changes without me?

No. We never impersonate you, bypass provider security, sign contracts for you, or activate or port a service without your approval. You own the account and authorize us to negotiate; provider rules determine when you must join a call or chat.

What does “best available rate” mean?

It means the best documented offer we can reasonably confirm for your needs and address when we perform the comparison. Rates, eligibility, coverage and promotions change, so it is not a promise of the cheapest rate in Canada forever.

Are you tied to a carrier or ISP?

No. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with or agents of any carrier or ISP. We do not claim provider kickbacks. Recommendations are based on fit, confirmed availability and total cost.

Can you set up brand-new service, or only lower an existing bill?

Both. We can arrange new mobile and new home internet activations, or work retention and switches on services you already have — Canada-wide, done-for-you.

How much does ClearRate cost?

The rate check is free. If you take a plan we arrange, we quote a one-time setup fee up front before you commit. No fee if you don’t proceed. You only pay the setup fee when we lock a confirmed better rate or new activation.

Is savings guaranteed?

No specific rate or provider outcome is guaranteed. Retention is discretionary; coverage and serviceability vary by address. We only charge our setup fee when a confirmed better rate or new activation is locked and you approve.
