Simple process

How creditor help works

Calm intake first. Strategy second. Outreach only with your authorization.

1

Map what’s owed

Who’s calling, what’s claimed, what’s in collections, and what you can realistically afford. No judgment — just the facts.

2

Plan the approach

Settlement ask, hardship note, payment plan, or “verify and pause” — we propose a path you approve before anyone is contacted.

3

Negotiate & document

We reach out as your authorized helper, push for clear written terms, and keep you in the loop on every offer.

What we take on

Settlement & collections pressure

Not legal advice. ClearRate is not a law firm and does not represent you in court. We help with practical negotiation. If you’re facing lawsuits, wage garnishment, bankruptcy questions, or complex secured debt, get a Canadian lawyer or licensed insolvency trustee — we will recommend that when it’s the right move.
Questions

FAQ

Can you guarantee a settlement percentage?

No. Creditors decide. We work for the best workable outcome we can negotiate for your situation.

Will you talk to collectors without my OK?

No. You authorize outreach and approve any settlement or payment commitment before it’s locked.

Does this hurt my credit?

Settlements and collections can affect credit differently depending on reporting. We’ll discuss trade-offs honestly; we don’t pretend otherwise.

When should I get a lawyer instead?

If you’re sued, facing garnishment, dealing with secured debt or insolvency options, or need court representation — start with qualified legal or LIT help. We can still coordinate around that.
